Following online protests from various Nigerians that some results announced at the collation center differed from those recorded at their polling places, some strongholds in the nation have been accused of tampering with the official results.
In light of this, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has issued a warning to leaders who have allowed power to corrupt them on his verified Facebook page. He addressed the matter and, by citing some historical examples, explained what would happen to such leaders.
He cited the story of King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:30-37 and Pharaoh in Exodus 15:4-6. He said God destroyed them, using them as an example to the whole world. Pastor E. A. Adeboye: “There are many great leaders in this world, but there is Someone called the Most High, the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). He rules in the affairs of men (Daniel 4:25).
