A staunch member of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Alhaji Illiyasu Bakura, has stated that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has every right for his struggles for the Southern part of Nigeria to have the position of the party’s national chairmanship.
Speaking with DRILOGIST in Gusau, the ZamfaraState capital, the party’s chieftain admitted that actually, there is a lot of injustice and impasses in the running of PDP in the entire country, which he said can not help the party to grow.
“I want to tell you that there is a lot of injustice and impasses going on in PDP both at the national and state levels as the northerners have hijacked the party by all means,” he lamented.
“I am a northerner but do not subscribe to that kind of kangaroo political system as it aims at damaging the good reputation of the party.”
He, however, appealed to members of the party to remain calm regarding the impasses being witnessed in the party at the moment, saying that every problem would soon be solved as a new leadership of the party in the state has emerged.
“I believe in the ability of Ahmad Sani Kaura, the state chairman of the party, believing that he will deliver by bringing all the aggrieved members of the party under one umbrella.”
He, however, admitted that the party was heading to a rock but pleaded that something must be done to redeem the image and reputation of the party in the state.
Bakura, therefore, urged the members of the party to always remain loyal as solutions to the party’s multifaceted problems would soon come to an end.
