Operatives of Ketu Division of Lagos State Police Command have arrested three members of a traffic robbery gang, notorious for dispossessing motorists of their belongings at Ile-Iwe/Kosofe, Ikorodu Road, in the Ketu area of the state.
The suspects: 28-year-old Bashiru Mohammed; 20-year-old Segun Olaiya and 19-year-old Ayinde Waris were arrested on Monday, September 26 at about 7:00 p.m., while attacking some motorists by policemen on a covert operation in the area.
According to the state’s police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects are currently assisting the police in an ongoing investigation to arrest other members of their gang and they would be arraigned at the conclusion of the investigation.
He added that Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has directed that efforts be sustained across the state towards ensuring that all miscreants are apprehended and dealt with in accordance with the law.
