Rafaela Pimenta, the agent to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has claimed the player could become the world’s first £1 billion player.
Haaland moved from Borussia Dortmund to City last summer in a deal worth €60 million.
The 22-year-old has since scored 20 goals in 14 appearances across all competitions for the Premier League champions.
It is believed City have inserted a £175million release clause in the 22-year-old’s contract, which only applies to clubs outside of the Premier League.
“If you put together his football value, his image value, his sponsor value, it is for sure £1billion.
“It’s normal to compare Erling with [Kylian] Mbappe, so you have a little bit of an idea of the market – I think Erling would be the first player to achieve a transfer that would be around £1billion,” Pimenta told Sky Sports.
