The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Ahmed Tinubu, was recently interviewed by the BBC, where he talked about his presidential ambitions and his plan for the country if elected.
During the course of the interview, the interviewer asked the former Lagos governor why he had failed to explain his source of wealth to Nigerians, being a rich man whom several reports had alleged that he worth billions of naira and also considering the type of mansion he lives in in Lagos.
Tinubu, who seemed not to be too comfortable with the question, asked the interviewer how he knows that he is wealthy since he is not his accountant. However, he also stated that the interviewer should know how to ask questions without being accusatory. Tinubu made this statement as he also asked if they were enemies of wealth, and if they were not enemies of wealth, they should understand that investments do yield, and just like Warren Buffet, who happened to be one of the richest men in America and the world, made his money from stock buying, he himself inherited great real estate and turned its value around.
He indicated that he is not denying his wealth, and as the most investigated candidate since he left office as Lagos State Governor, he has not gotten any government appointment or contract, and his name has been cleared by several organizations..
