Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Princess Onyejekwe, has chided her colleague, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as “Phyna” for revealing how she had an abortion twice.
In a recent interview with Naomi Chima on Punch, the winner of the Big Brother Naija season 7 opened up on how she had abortions at the age of 19 and 24. This happened a few days after a troll called Phyna an ‘abortionist’. Phyna replied to the troll, claiming that it’s true she had an abortion twice.
In the interview, she said that the reason why she was vocal about her abortion was because that is who she is, stressing that she is like an open book. She added that her family are also like that, and even when her dad asked her why she took it to the public, she told him that she took after him.
Speaking on the abortions, Phyna narrated that she had the first one at the age of 19. She felt she was too young then, and this made her unable to go home to tell her parents. As a result of this, she terminated the pregnancy.
She further explained that she got pregnant once again at the age of 24. At that time, she had already graduated and was done with service.
Initially, she was hoping to keep the baby, but when she realized that the relationship was getting toxic, she had to remove the pregnancy. She added that her boyfriend used to abuse and beat her, so she ended the relationship after the abortion.
Princess Linda Onyejekwe who is also a former Big Brother Naija housemate has reacted to this. She berated Phyna for talking about the abortions publicly when she could have kept it private.

“You had abortions at 19 and 24, and you bought a loudspeaker to let all of us know. At what age will you learn to keep things private?”
