Bishop Oyedepo has finally spoken on the election.

Bishop David Oyedepo, the general overseer of the Living Faith Church, has commended God for answering the congregation’s prayers for a successful election. The third session of the Covenant Day of Exemption service was when this incident occurred.

In order to prepare for the general elections, the bishop asked for three days of fasting and reflection.

He praised God for the peace and concord leading up to the elections in 2023. He referred to the 2019 elections as “war” and thanked God that the nation as a whole was spared despite a few isolated acts of violence.

“We wish to give thanks to God for the peace and harmony that pervaded our nation yesterday. God has listened to our prayers over the elections. Conflict was present at the most recent election. There are shootings and murders practically everywhere. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, stepped in and subdued the storm.

Although there were a few isolated cases, God was the reason it didn’t spread. And because of yesterday’s troubles, all of the voting will take place peacefully today, as well as during the segments of the election that will be held today. Blood will not be shed. No crises will arise. “And God’s plan will come to pass,” he declared.
