Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary manager of Manchester United, thinks the Red Devils need to add another striker during the summer transfer window.
Ferguson stated that Manchester United must get a new striker at the conclusion of the season to help Marcus Rashford share the scoring load.
He claims that Rashford, who has 17 goals in 19 games for Erik ten Hag’s group, is presently Man United’s primary scorer this year.
He said this after Rashford scored the second goal in Man United’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.
Ferguson responded to Sky Sports’ question regarding Rashford by saying, “I don’t think he is a striker, he works basically from the left-hand side.”But wonderful.
He consistently has good finishes. He always takes less shots, which is crucial for a striker,He is in excellent form, but unfortunately for us, he is the key scorer. You know, we could use an extra one. But he does it on our behalf”
