U-20: Nigeria’s Flying Eagles losses to Gambia.

After losing 1-0 against the Gambia’s Young Scorpions, Nigeria’s Flying Eagles were unable to advance to the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations final.

Seven minutes after Daniel Bamaiyi, the Flying Eagles captain, made a mistake, Adama Bojang scored the winning goal for the Gambians.

During the course of the game, Gambia only scored one goal.

The Flying Eagles put up a valiant fight to come back into the game, but their lack of imagination in the final third let them down.

Six minutes before the end, Ahmed Abdullahi, a substitute, was fouled inside the penalty area, and Ladan Bosso’s team was given a penalty.

Haruna Njie’s aggressive challenge resulted in Gambia being reduced to 10 men late in the game.On Friday, Tunisia will play the Flying Eagles in the third place game.
