Seun Kuti, a well-known Afrobeat musician, has described some of his experiences while being detained by the police.
Remember how the Nigerian police detained Kuti after he assaulted one of their security guards on the Third Mainland Bridge.

The police officer, according to the artist, was acting because he threatened to hurt his family.
On the instructions of the Yaba Chief Magistrate Court, he was later detained and lodged at the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
After being detained for eight days, he was eventually given bail on Tuesday.
On Friday, Kuti shared some of the difficult experiences he had while incarcerated via his Instagram story.
He said he was made to lay down on a “hard cold floor, in the midst of prisoners.”
He, however, added that it was “still better than sitting in the devil’s house with politicians.”
