Ogun APC crisis: Group slams Oladunjoye, says Adeola an impostor

The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) is still rearing its ugly head a few months to the 2023 general elections.

This is as a youth group dragged the Publicity Secretary of the party in Ogun State, Tunde Oladunjoye and the Lagos West Senator, Olamilekan Adeola, who is also the Ogun West senatorial candidate of the party in Ogun West.

Earlier, the Senator representing Ogun West, Tolu Odebiyi, had explained how Governor Dapo Abiodun allegedly refused to honour all recommendations put forward by the leadership of the party to settle the crisis rocking the APC in Ogun.

But, Oladunjoye, in a swift reaction said it was former Governor Ibikunle Amosun who ignored all efforts by the Awujale of Ijebuland to settle the rift between him and Gov Abiodun.

Oladunjoye also attacked Senator Odebiyi, calling him names.

Reacting in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday, the Ogun APC Ambassadors warned Oladunjoye to stop dividing the party further.

In the statement signed by Lekan Akintande, the APC Ambassadors maintained that discord in Ogun State APC between the camps of Amosun and Abiodun persists, despite several efforts from the National body of the party to strike a truce between the warring factions.

According to them, the most recent disagreement emanated from Abiodun due to his “refusal to honour the sharing formula proposed by the National Body of our party APC.”

This stance of Abiodun, according to him, is what infuriated Senator Amosun, hence his decision never to support the second term bid of prince Abiodun.

The APC youths maintained that “an impostor, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, a Lagos West Senator, who is desperately seeking every opportunity to infiltrate Ogun State and subject it to external rulership come 2027 with the Ogun west senate sit in 2023(God forbid) in his usual intruder manner has jumped to meddle in the discussion.”

They described as unfortunate the fact that the Lagos West Senator is joining issues with Ogun APC leaders’ disagreement, “where he has no stake.”

In their words, they APC faithful said while progressive minded individuals were trying to put a stop to the disagreement in the party ahead of 2023, a press release was issued by Oladunjoye, who they described as one who has been declared unfit to hold a public office in Nigeria by a judicial commission of enquiry.

They said Oladunjoye’s responses were ill-mannered, and there are no facts in all his claims.

“This is someone that should bury his head in shame in a sane society,” it was stated.

“One is, however, not surprised at the very low level of the content of the quality of his character as his upbringing could neither be traced to good moral root nor his wobbling life ever imbibed progressive tenets.

“Oladunjoye is hereby cautioned and advised to respect the Judicial Commission declaration on him as an unfit person to hold a public office.

“Therefore he should keep mute when progressive minded people are looking for solutions on matters that require both sound and sane minds,” the statement concluded.
