Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo has been robbed at gunpoint in Delta State on Sunday, January 29th, 2023.
The actor took to his Instagram page to narrate the ordeal, which has left him and some of his colleagues devastated.
Junior Pope recounted how he was riding his car last night, while coming back from work with his colleagues, Georgina Ibeh and Shire twin when the unfortunate incident happened.
The actor revealed that the robbery took place at Ubulu Okiti, in Delta State and the robbers carted away with many of his valuables. From his phones to, footwear/production shoes, bag which contained his passport, PVC and ID card and lots more.
Despite the incident, Junior Pope had reasons to be grateful as he got home to see his family hale and hearty.
The father of boys expressed gratitude to God for saying his life.
“Hey Swagnation, how are you all doing?
Coming back from work I was robbed at gunpoint. I was riding in my car with my colleagues, Georgina Ibeh and Shire twin and we were robbed around Ubulu Okiti at gunpoint.
They stole everything, took everything, phones; ransacked the vehicle. Took footwear, production shoes, my bags with my passport in it and personal belongings. My PVC, my ID card and lots of things”, he said amidst tears.
Captioning the video, he wrote,
“Robbed at gunpoint yesterday night at Ubulu Okiti….29/01/23. Returning from a movie set.
Tears dropped the moment I got home by 1am and saw my family.
Thank God for saving our lives. May we not meet our end in our quest for our daily bread… Amen”.
Jide Awobona recounts wife’s robbery encounter on 3rd mainland bridge
In similar news, actor Jide Awobona had recounted his wife’s scary experience at the hands of robbers.
Taking to Instagram, the actor revealed that his wife was threatened at gunpoint on third mainland bridge in August, 2022.
According to him, a gun was flashed at her and she was threatened to be killed if she failed to drop her money and other stuffs. Read more here.
