Top travel agents and partners for the airline attended the event, which was titled Travel Agents Forum for Mumbai and Future Routes, and it served as a forum for discussion of all significant projects relating to route network expansion.
The Chief Operating Officer, Air Peace, Oluwatoyin Olajide, represented by the Head of Commercial and Business Development, Mrs Ifeoma Ekwerike, lauded the travel agents for their support towards the growth of the brand.Ekwerike further stressed that the airline is embarking on an aggressive but strategic route expansion to ease the travel burden of Nigerians and provide more seamless connectivity. We are working on a lot of routes, she said.
Mumbai is scheduled to debut on March 31, 2023. Captain Martin Okunpolor, Chief Pilot of Air Peace, said that the airline would be making a direct, nonstop flight to Mumbai. If the Mumbai operations have gathered some momentum, the Delhi operations will come next, he added.
He added that the Indian airspace was not unfamiliar to Air Peace as the company had run special charter flights to the nation during the COVID-19 time and would be using its wide-body, luxurious Boeing 777 aircraft for the journey. We have well-trained and highly experienced pilots who fly our international flights, and Mumbai will not be an exception, Captain Okunpolor affirmed. “Passengers will enjoy the flight experience,” he added.
