The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has said that any officer who insists on checking a citizen’s phone is not an officer but a scavenger. Adejobi in a tweet shared on his handle said except a phone is an exhibit for investigation, no officer has the right to ask a citizen to open his phone for checks.
