The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has suggested a solution to the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Keyamo said the All Progressives Congress, APC, is willing to donate its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to help unify the PDP.
PDP has been witnessing a crisis since the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as its presidential candidate.
The party erupted into crisis when Atiku opted for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate.
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has been aggrieved with PDP’s leadership over Atiku’s choice of a running mate.
Atiku ignored Wike, who came second during the PDP’s presidential primaries, a situation tearing the party apart.
Following his action, Wike called for the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
He noted that the North could not produce PDP’s presidential candidate and National Chairman.
Reacting to the crisis, Keyamo tweeted: “If PDP begs us, we may consider donating the real UNIFIER, @officialABAT to assist in unifying their ranks to get them ready for their comprehensive defeat in 2023.
“We want a healthy opposition during the election. We don’t want the excuse that we fought with a disabled opponent.
“It is funny that other candidates spend all their energy to debunk all the achievements of @officialABAT, whereas they are not using that same energy to show their own achievements.
“One relies on the so-called achievements of his boss and another is just quoting fake foreign data.”
