Bournemouth have sacked their manager, Scott Parker after their latest Premier League 9-0 defeat to Liverpool over the weekend.
The Premier League club made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday morning via its website.
Parker will be replaced in the interim by former Bournemouth midfielder, Gary O’Neil.
The 41-year-old is now the first manager to get the boot in the 2022/23 season after losing his last three games of the season at the helm.
The statement, which quoted club owner, Maxim Demin, reads in part,
“AFC Bournemouth can announce that the club has parted company with head coach Scott Parker.
“Gary O’Neil will take interim charge of the team and will be assisted by Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick.”
