BUA Cement Plc’s audited financials for June 2022 show a net profit of N88.73 billion, the profit marks a 2.21 percent increase over the N86.81 billion earned the previous year.
Moreover, the cement manufacturing company reported gross earnings of N591.80 billion, or 31.42 percent more than N450.30 billion in 2021. Profit Before Tax increased by 0.42 percent to N97.80 billion from N97.37 billion in 2021.
The company’s audited financials also revealed that BUA Cement’s total assets increased 12.51 percent to N13.19 billion from N11.73 billion earlier reported, while profit attributable to owners saw a 1.52 percent marginal increase from N85.98 million to N87.29 million for the time period under consideration.
However, the number of shares issued fell from 34,719 million in 2021 to 34,611 million, while total liabilities increased by 13.53 percent to N12.127 billion from N10.681 billion reported the year before.Investors traded 123,440,000,000 shares in 40 trades at N99.45 each on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) as of Monday’s closing of business. Its total market value was N3.36 trillion.
