Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has come out to defend the lifestyle of newly-signed striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Tuchel insists the 33-year-old should not be judged by his dress sense and love of fast cars.
Aubameyang, who arrived on deadline day from Barcelona, will not be available for Saturday’s Premier League clash against West Ham.
But Tuchel insists his former Borussia Dortmund hitman will be a major asset at Chelsea.
“He was the kind of fancy personality that everybody wanted to talk about and this is also nice, no?.
“Not everybody has to dress in dark blue with a boring cap! You can have a nice haircut and a fancy car.
“It’s a problem in judging people very, very fast, looking at this car or that, and suggesting someone is unprofessional.
“Maybe he’s just a bit more crazy than us. And this is very fine because you need to be a bit outside the box to be special on the field.
“So for the amount of goals he scored, for the amount of attention he got, he was a very, very well-behaved number nine at Dortmund and I have no doubt he will be here too,” Tuchel said.
