Christian Pulisic and David de Gea got physical during the second half of Chelsea’s Premier League loss to Manchester United.
Late in the second half, Pulisic collided with De Gea as he attempted to lunge for a Cesar Azpilicueta cross. De Gea looked to take offense to Pulisic’s attempt and bumped the Chelsea winger. Pulisic retaliated, and the two traded insults before tempers finally cooled.
The confrontation had little effect on the proceedings. Chelsea suffered again another defeat, falling 4-1 at Old Trafford despite having a number of excellent chances in the first half. In 30 minutes, Pulisic rarely touched the ball.
Chelsea will finish their Premier League campaign on Sunday when they welcome Newcastle at Stamford Bridge.
