Ebonyi PDP ward chairman’s murder leads to the arrest of four people. 

In connection with the murder of Mr. Peter Nweke, the PDP ward chairman in the state’s Ezza North Local Government Area, the Ebonyi State Police Command has paraded four suspects.

Drillogist cites the murder of Nweke in Ezza North on March 18, which occurred amid the governor’s and House of Assembly elections.

At a press conference held on Friday in Abakaliki, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, also disclosed that a whopping 21 people had been listed as sought in connection with the incident.

Aloke Obinna, Kelechi Nwali, Ifeanyi Nwokpuku, and Onyebuchi Chita are the four male suspects who were apprehended.

According to the police PRO: “Sequel to the dastardly act, the Commissioner of Police, Faleye S. Olaleye, tasked all police officers in the command to fish out all of those responsible for the killing.


“Consequently, on March 28, four suspects were arrested in connection with the death of Mr Peter Nweke.”
