The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained seven alleged online scammers popularly called “Yahoo boys” the EFCC made this known in a tweet posted on Tuesday.
The accused were named by the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as Peter Omega Awupri, Williams Chukwu, Philip Okonkwo, and Emeka Okonkwo.
After reliable intelligence on their alleged illegal activities, more people, including Stephen Anthony, Edobor Osas, and Adetola Sunday, were detained in Gwarimpa, Abuja.
According to the report, Items authorities seized from the suspects include three international passports, a smartwatch, a Lexus, eight phones, four laptops, and Toyota automobiles.
The anti-graft organization noted that after the investigations are finished, the suspects will be charged in court.
