The Adamawa State High Court has granted relief for sacked state chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, by stopping his deputy, Samaila Tadawus from taking over the chair.

The court on Thursday restrained Tadawus from parading himself as the state Chairman of APC until the determination of a suit instituted by Bilal.

Justice Musa Usman who issued the order, said, “The defendants by themselves, servants, agents, privies or any other person acting under their instruction are hereby restrained from recognising Tadawus as Chairman of the APC pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.

“The defendants by themselves, servants, agents, privies or any other person acting under their instruction however called are hereby restrained from taking step/further steps in removing Bilal pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.”

Daily Post gathered Thursday evening that the motion ex-parte in view was brought before the court by Ever Odo, Aji Kamale, and Hassan Maidawa who are counsels to the plaintiff, Ibrahim Bilal.

Bilal, in the suit no HC/ADSY/143/2022, joined Samaila Tadawus, the APC and 13 others as respondents.

The court, after granting the relief recognising Ibrahim Bilal as remaining the APC state chairman, adjourned the case to next week, 14th September, for hearing of the motion on notice.
