Arteta should rest Arsenal Star players – lan Wright

In the upcoming weeks, manager Mikel Arteta has been advised to rest striker Bukayo Saka, who has been superb for the squad thus far this season, by Arsenal veteran Ian Wright.

Saka has played a key role in helping Arsenal compete for the Premier League title this season, but due to his extraordinary injury history, he is rarely given a break.

This season, the 21-year-old has made 34 appearances for the Gunners and has directly assisted 24 goals.

The young English player has only managed one goal in his last six games for Arteta’s team, and he doesn’t appear to be nearly as motivated as he did earlier in the season.

Wright acknowledged on the Wrighty’s House Podcast that he worries about Saka if he keeps getting more minutes.

“Perhaps Saka ought to take a short break.

“A little relaxation, I believe. We can’t afford to lose any more games, so we need everyone on the field. However, I fear for him, so maybe my mouth is moving too quickly for my brain,” Wright said.
