EPL: It doesn’t feel good to me – Gary Neville pinpoints big problem at Chelsea

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has pinpointed a very big problem at Chelsea.

According to the Premier League legend, there is still a clear issue in Graham Potter’s squad despite the Blues’ ‘staggering’ spending under their owner, Todd Boehly.

Boehly spent more than £250m in the summer transfer window, bringing in the likes of Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella.

Despite this, the Blues are 10 points outside the Champions League places in ninth.

Potter, who was appointed to steady the ship after Thomas Tuchel’s surprise sacking, is also struggling to get a tune out of the squad.

Boehly returned to the market in the winter transfer window, splashing out almost £300m on the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk.

But in Neville’s opinion, Chelsea’s transfer strategy ‘doesn’t feel right’, adding that the American businessman will have to spend even more money in the summer to solve their striker ‘problem’.

Speaking on the Gary Neville podcast, he said: “You can’t get away from this staggering spending. I’m not sure about it, it doesn’t feel right to me.

“There is promise at Chelsea but they have got a problem at centre-forward and that needs dealing with so there’s going to be another load of money spent in the summer unless they’re thinking of bringing Lukaku back.”
