Premier League giants, Chelsea, are interested in reuniting their new manager Graham Potter with Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo in the January transfer window.
This claim was made by football transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano.
In his latest column for Caught Offside, Romano shed light on Caicedo’s situation amid Chelsea’s interest in the player, who worked with Potter at Brighton.
“At the moment, there are no negotiations for Caicedo; we will see in the next months what happens,” Romano said.
Romano added: “I think it’d be great for them to work together again. Caicedo is a brilliant player, but the Brighton project deserves some respect; so I’m not sure they will be open to let Caicedo go already in January.”
Caicedo has three years left in his current contract with Brighton.
The 20-year-old joined Brighton from Ecuadorian outfit Independiente del Valle for £4.5 million in the winter of 2021.
The midfielder has been a first-team starter for Brighton in the ongoing season.
