Federal Government Intensifies Airport Security, introduces 381 additional Personnel.

The federal government has added more aviation security officers to appropriately secure the federal airports across the nation as hazards to aviation facilities rise as a result of the widespread insecurity in the nation.

Therefore, the Federal Government of Nigeria (FG) educated and graduated 381 new Aviation Security (AVSEC) Employees and deployed them throughout the nation’s airports that are operated by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Aviation security is essential to national security, according to Sen. Hadi Sirika, Minister of Aviation, who was speaking at the Passing Out Parade (POP) of AVSEC Cadets over the weekend in Kano.At the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Capt. Talba Alkali, Director of Safety and Technical Services, spoke on Sirika’s behalf.

He claimed that the new injection will aid in reducing local terrorism threats.Given the new developments in the aviation industry, this will “have a favorable impact. With the training of 381 Cadets, we have made a positive step in the battle against terrorism and in an effort to maintain the requirement that civil aviation operate in a safe and secure environment, the official said.

The cadets underwent and successfully completed the 13 weeks of intensive training on the STP 123 Basic course in accordance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and the National Civil Aviation Security Training Program (NCASTP), according to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, FAAN, Capt. Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu
