Five persons were wounded in an attack on Alhaji Salisu Abdulaziz’s home in Gombe State, a pillar of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Saturday night.
Thugs broke into and dispersed a meeting that Abdulaziz had called at his home in the Jekadafari district of the Gombe city.He stated to the newsmen that the thugs assaulted men, youths, and women during the meeting.
The police were quick to step in and diffuse the situation after the thugs smashed my gate, all of my electrical bulbs, and my windows, the man continued.The Gombe police spokesman, ASP Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar, verified the event and stated that at least five individuals were hurt and had to be taken to the hospital by the police.He said that the case was still being investigated and that no arrests had yet been made by the police.
