Grief as Tenants Abducts Four Children in Abia

Two unidentified female tenants have reportedly abducted four children from Uwalaka Street, Ossah Road in Umuahia, Abia State. The children, Chioma (6), Ogbonne (6), Miracle (5), and Joy (3), belonged to different parents and were taken to an undisclosed location. This distressing incident occurred just two weeks after a tricycle driver abducted four siblings in Umuahia while they were on their way to school.

The alleged abductors posed as genuine tenants, renting a room in the building where the families resided. After moving in, they established friendly relations with the families, offering food and gifts to the children and playing with them while concealing their sinister intentions.

Mrs. Ngozi Kingsley, one of the mothers, sought help on Flo 94.9 FM station in Umuahia, sharing the heartbreaking story of her daughter Chioma’s abduction. Mrs. Ifeanyi Uduma Ibe, another mother from Okoni Ohafia, reported that the suspects had been cooking for and showering her children with gifts since they moved in.

The distraught mothers discovered the disappearance of Chioma, Ogbonne, Joy, and Miracle when they returned from errands, realizing that the new tenants had vanished. Mrs. Ibe, noting a birthmark on her daughter Joy’s knee, reported the incident to the police.

While the Abia State Police Command has not confirmed the latest case, the affected families are seeking assistance to locate their missing children, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
