Following the conduct of its primary election in Kogi State, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been asked to serve as a model for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
When the APC held its primary in Kogi State, the National Democratic Front, or NDF, praised the APC for using direct primary voting.
Recall that Usman Ododo, a former local government auditor in the state, won the APC’s nomination for governor on Friday during the party’s primary poll.
Ododo defeated the other six competitors with 78,704 votes.
Suleiman responded by stating that the primary election was quiet and peaceful and that the results accurately represented the choices of the faithful.
Abdulkadir Suleiman, the NDF’s Secretary-General, characterized the exercise as free, open, and fair.
He commended “APC, party leaders and delegates for their conduct throughout the exercise.”
Suleiman asserts that the APC is prepared for government based on the “success of the primary and congress.
However, the National Democratic Front advised the PDP to learn from the APC’s success in Kogi.
