The Gombe State Police Command has captured 17 individuals linked to various offenses within the state, according to ASP. Mahid Muazu Abubakar, the Police Public Relations Officer.
Two suspects, who were in possession of a locally made shotgun, were successfully apprehended. One suspect admitted to buying the firearm for 15,000 naira and then passing it to his brother, who is currently under investigation.In a separate incident, a joint operation involving Police Operatives from the Kaltungo Division and the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) resulted in the arrest of seven individuals. The suspects, including Ibrahim Usman (19), Usman Mohd Biliyaminu (18), Mohammed Suleiman (21), Sani Mohammed (20), Hamman Haruna (19), Imrana Hassan (18), and Abdullahi Idris (17), were apprehended during a raid in Market Square, Kalaring, and Baganje in Kaltungo Local Government Area.
The raid yielded a variety of items, such as military camouflage, shorts, trousers, and a face cap, 19 blocks of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 40 sachets of tramadol tablets, 240 sachets of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, one empty shell of AK-47 decorated with charms, two cutlasses, one stick, one dagger, two swords, two calabashes, two knives, one axe, one roll of copper wire, five sachets of exzol tablets, two women wrappers (Turmin Zani), one charm vest, assorted charms, 582 pieces of exzol tablets, two cutlasses, and 100 pieces of yellow (D-5) tablets.
