In a recent interview with Z100 New York, popular Nigerian afrobeat star Divine Ikubor, also known by his stage name Rema, said that he made his first million at the age of 17.
Rema decided that his mother needed the money more than he did, so he donated it all to her instead of keeping it for himself.
He added that although though having a car and being able to travel by yourself would have been nice at that age, he couldn’t do it because his mother didn’t own a car. Rema underlined the value of supporting one’s family and expressed her happiness at being in a position to do so.
