Celebrity car dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, revealed that the family of his late wife has not been granting him access to see his kids since his wife died.
This was revealed after a netizen asked him to go and make peace with the family of his late wife.
Recall that IVD and his late wife got into a scuffle at their residence in Megamound Estate, Lekki on October 2022
It was reported that his wife confronted him after an alleged assault and maltreatment.
As a result of this altercation, their house was set on fire.
IVD only suffered minor burns, but his wife, Abimbola, had a different fate.
She died from her severe burns on the 15th of October, 2022.
This brought about controversies on the internet as the family of his late wife blamed him for Abimbola’s death. In a statement put out by his late wife’s family after her death, they alleged that IVD was on the run, and they demanded justice.
It was later confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, that IVD was not on the run and was arrested.
IVD was later released by the police.
In a recent post made by IVD on his social media page, a netizen asked the businessman to go and make peace with the family of his late wife. She also urged IVD to go and bury his wife so that the ‘storm can be over’.
IVD replied to this, saying that all he ever wanted is peace, but her late wife’s family refused to grant him access to his kids. He has also not seen his wife’s body after she died.
“They have refused to allow me to have access to my kids. Also, I never saw my wife’s body. I am a man of peace, I choose to embrace peace any day and anytime”, he wrote.
