Ugbekile David Osemeke, a Nigerian musician better known by his stage name, Boy Spyce, has shared the most extraordinary measure he’s taken for love.
In a recent interview on Cool FM Nigeria, the Mavin Records-signed artist described a time when he felt compelled to borrow money to keep his then-girlfriend from going out with another man.
He remarked, “The most extreme thing I’ve done for love might seem simple, but it’s something I would never repeat. If I don’t have the resources, I accept it. I won’t put myself under unnecessary stress to impress anyone.”
He continued, reminiscing about the time years ago when he borrowed approximately N50,000, which was a significant amount for him back then. His girlfriend had expressed her desire to dine out, spurred by an offer from another man. Boy Spyce resisted, questioning her need to dine with another man when she was already in a relationship with him. Ultimately, he borrowed the funds to satisfy her wishes.
