Taraba State Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has lost the Taraba South senate race.
Ishaku, who ran in last Saturday’s National Assembly election, was beaten by the All Progressives Congress candidate (APC).
The governor had previously lost his polling unit to the Labour Party’s (LP) Presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Aside from failing to deliver his polling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, the APC also won his Takum council by a landslide.
Professor Solomon Adeyeye, the returning officer for the Taraba south senatorial district election, announced the results, saying the APC candidate received 85415 votes to beat the current governor.
