The first non-interest bank in Nigeria, Jaiz Bank Plc, is about to launch an all-women wing, where women will run the wing’s entire operations.
This statement was made by the Bank’s Managing Director, Dr. Sirajo Salisu, to the employees at the Bank’s Abuja headquarters during a celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD).
He declared that going forward, the Bank’s IWD celebrations would be held to a higher standard by recognizing the accomplishments of its female employees and encouraging them to follow in the footsteps of successful women from around the globe.

Also, Dr. Sirajo reaffirmed that the female employees would continue to get the highest respect, assistance, and a platform in accordance with Jaiz Bank’s objective of justice and fairness and a platform to achieve their career objectives.
Dr. Sirajo, the managing director, further exhorted the women to be confident in their gender and to fight back against all forms of harassment and abuse, saying that Jaiz would always work to uphold women’s rights as a gender-sensitive bank.
