The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has evicted Muhammad Sani Gumel, its gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State, for suspected anti-party conduct.
Kabiru Hussaini, the acting chairman of the party in Jigawa State, claimed this while addressing reporters in Dutse, the state capital.
He claimed the governorship candidate was dismissed for selling the party to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Kabiru Hussaini encouraged all party members to support the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship candidate, Mustapha Sule Lamido.
“We are directing all of our Party’s followers to support the PDP gubernatorial candidate because the state can only be saved by the PDP,” he stated.
According to DRILLOGIST, ADC gubernatorial candidate Muhammad Sani Gumel has withdrawn his candidacy and moved his allegiance to the APC.
In response, ADC gubernatorial candidate Muhammad Sani Gumel stated that the beleaguered temporary chairman has no authority to dismiss him from the party.
He stated that the acting chairman was ousted from the party by the National Headquarters on September 22, 2022, and that he is not recognized by INEC, IPAC, or security agencies.
