Jigawa Police Command Recover Stolen Hospital Bus

The Jigawa State Police Command has announced the recovery of a stolen Toyota Hiace bus that belongs to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) in Kano. This development was shared in a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu, in Dutse on Thursday.

The recovery took place when a joint patrol team in the Gada area of Kazaure Local Government Area attempted to stop the vehicle after noticing it being driven recklessly. However, the driver refused to comply and fled, leading to a pursuit by the patrol team.

The chase continued to the Unguwar Tudu area, where the driver abandoned the vehicle and escaped. The police subsequently found documents and foodstuffs inside the vehicle.

The hospital had previously reported the theft of the vehicle with the registration number FG-16-K 12 to the police. Efforts are underway to arrest the fleeing suspect, and the case will be transferred to the Kano State Police Command for further investigations.
