Chelsea Legend, John Terry has reacted to Cesar Azpilicueta’s departure from Stamford Bridge.
Azpilicueta has left Chelsea after 11 great years and will now play for Atletico Madrid starting next season after signing a two-year contract with the La Liga giants.
After his departure was confirmed, Azpilicueta went to Instagram to share an emotional message with Chelsea fans.
Terry, a Blues great who guided the team to three major titles, paid tribute to the 32-year-old.
“What a player, what a man. Thank you (Azpilicueta) and best of luck, mate. “LEGEND,” the former England captain wrote on Twitter.
Azpilicueta appeared in 508 games, scoring 73 goals and winning the Champions League, Premier League twice, Europa League twice, FA Cup, and League Cup.
