A distraught Kenyan man called Rajab Abdul has described how his wife abandoned him when their companies collapsed.
The father of two stated that he had found his wife cheating on him, but he opted to forgive her.
“I arrived home from work one day to find an empty house. “She had carried everything, even my clothing,” he sobbed as he spoke to TUKO.co.ke.
Rajab stated that he and his wife had a really nice marriage when they initially met.
The man stated that he and his wife started a fruit company, which was so successful that they decided to create another fast food restaurant.
They have two children, a boy and a girl, and Rajab stated that they were doing well before COVID struck.
Nevertheless, the impacts of the global epidemic decimated all enterprises, putting a burden on their marriage as well.
“I recall asking her one day whether she had weighed the meat brought by the supplier to ensure we were paying for the quantity requested. She became enraged and attacked me with a knife. She slashed my leg. I still have a scar to this day. “I forgive her.”
Matters worsened as he had to frequently travel out of town in search of job. He did this to guarantee that he could provide for his family.
Rajab also recounted returning home from work earlier than intended to discover his wife in bed with another man.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw them on my bed. That ached so much. I have forgiven her because I knew my children would suffer if we divorced.” He stated
The pair agreed to continue living together as long as she stopped philandering.
But, Rajab arrived home from work one day to find the house deserted. Everything, including his clothing, was carried by his wife.
“I have no idea what I did to deserve this. It’s really painful. I can’t take my mind off my children. I don’t want them to grow up apart from me. “I’d want to convince her that our children need their father even if she no longer wants to be with me,” he remarked, tears streaming down his cheeks.
