Barcelona president, Joan Laporta has revealed that midfielder Pablo Gavi is yet to sign a new contract with the Catalan club.
Laporta said he doesn’t like the situation that Gavi is yet to accept the new proposal from Barcelona to extend his contract.
Gavi’s current deal with Barcelona will expire next summer.
Speaking on the development, Laporta expressed his displeasure with the situation and said (as quoted by The Anfield Watch on Twitter):
“Gavi’s agent has had the new contract proposal on the table for a long time, but he has not accepted yet.
“We don’t understand. I don’t like the situation. I encourage them to accept it as soon as possible.”
Gavi has been impressive for Barcelona so far this season.
The Spain youngster, who is said to have drawn the interest of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Juventus and Manchester United, has started all four of Barcelona’s La Liga matches this season.
