In Warri, Delta State, a identified to be a butcher is accused of fatally stabbing his wife in an incident that happened last evening
When the suspect returned from the market where he butchers and sells meat, it was discovered that he attempted to scoop hot water from the fire to take a bath.
However, his wife asked him not to touch the gas, claiming he does not provide them with money for maintenance or to fill the gas at home.
According to reports, the guy disregarded his wife and went directly to the gas to scoop the hot water. His wife attacked him, and the two started fighting.
The murdered wife attempted to stab her husband during the ensuing altercation, but her husband was able to overcome her, grab the knife, and repeatedly stab her until she passed out.
The suspect then hurried his wife to a private hospital for treatment while fabricating that she had been in a terrible accident.
His daughter raced to the police station to report the unfortunate occurrence, and the suspect was promptly taken into custody.
