According to reports, Savior Joseph, was murdered by his employee,Josiah Godwin, 20, of the Imafon community in the Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, and his body was dumped into a well.
Sources said that after a disagreement, the deceased crushed Godwin’s phone on the floor, causing a fight.
The body was discovered a few days later at the location where the deceased’s older brother, Odey Ogbaji, and the apprentice had gone to work, he claimed. The deceased called me on Tuesday of last week, but I wasn’t able to reach him on Wednesday. Up until Saturday, when my younger brother called to say that Joseph was likewise unreachable, I assumed he had a flat battery.”We later got in touch with the apprentice, Godwin, who claimed that Joseph woke him up in the middle of the night, took his phone, broke it on the ground, beat him up, and then told him to go to bed. He claimed to have left the area the next day. He claimed that he believed his boss had gone to the bathroom when we questioned him about why he left without seeing him. Then, we looked at the phone. There was no scratch on the floor where Joseph was purportedly lying. In addition, he switched off his phone and didn’t report to anybody.”Ogar Julius, the in-law of the deceased, reported that the suspect had been detained and taken to the Police Criminal Investigative Department (CID) at the Police headquarters in Akure.Godwin said he killed boss because the latter beat him up, according to police spokeswoman Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisayan, who confirmed the occurrence. She stated that Godwin had been detained and would soon face criminal charges.
