Tim Sherwood, a former Premier League player, has pushed Todd Boehly’s Chelsea to choose Roberto De Zerbi, the head coach of Brighton, as their next manager to succeed interim manager Frank Lampard.
When Lampard inevitably departs the Blues, Sherwood thinks De Zerbi will be the best manager to head Chelsea.
Remember that once Graham Potter was fired, Boehly hired Lampard on a temporary basis until the end of the season.

However, Lampard’s Chelsea club lost 2-1 to De Zerbi’s Brighton team on Saturday at Stamford Bridge, marking his third loss as Chelsea’s interim manager.
Sherwood told Premier League Productions, as cited, “I don’t know what Chelsea are waiting for with that man [De Zerbi] in your picture there.”
“They need a manager, just go and get him. I don’t want to sell Brighton’s head coach again. The only reason why Chelsea might not go for him is that Graham Potter has let them down. But this guy is the real deal. He is the real deal head Coach They got £21 million for the other Head Coach and he was not any good.”
