Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, has urged the Premier League to penalize Manchester City for allegedly breaking financial rules.
Manchester City could face a variety of penalties if they are found guilty of infringing more than 100 rules.
The penalties could range from a fine or a loss of points to relegation.
Tebas has maintained that the English champions should be punished for their alleged transgressions.
“It concerns the Premier League’s honor and reputation.”Your global reputation affects your capacity to recruit sponsorship and sell television rights,” Tebas told reporters at the Financial Times Business of Football Summit on Wednesday.
