Changan brands are now part of Mikano Motors’ expanded product line, making it the sole distributor of Changan brands in Nigeria.
MIKANO Motors is a division of Mikano International. The portfolio now includes Changan among the Geely namesakes, ZNA pickups, and Maxus.
Mikano’s agreement with Changan began after the Chinese company severed ties with Stallion Motors, which had served as the brand’s only agent and representative in Nigeria.
Ralph Haidar, general manager of Mikano Motors, said yesterday at the launch of the Changan brands, which include CS35, CS85, CS95, and Eado DT, that Mikano added Changan to its portfolio due to the quality of Changan brands.
He said introducing Changan brands did not mean an end to the Geely partnership, restating that Mikano and Geely remained strong partners. According to him, Mikano has plans in the future to bring in more brands in order to grow its market share in the automotive market.“For now we have four brands but in the future, we are bringing more brands and we continue to partner with brands globally renowned for quality, aesthetics, and ruggedness that we cherish as Mikano Motors,” he said.
The Changan brands are covered by a record-breaking six-year warranty from Mikano, which is now the best warranty on the market, or 200,000 miles.More than 500 pre-introduction units have already been recorded by Mikano from a variety of clients, including the state government, banks, and construction firms.
“This is a brand that uses technologies of current vehicles,” Haidar remarked. One of the top brands in the world with excellent design is Changan. We’re going to start with the CS35. We have other Changan models that we want to introduce this year, including the Sedan, which will be released soon.Aside from Toyota, Changan is the second-best-selling car in West Africa” he claimed. He promised seamless and efficient post-purchase assistance through the Mikano post-purchase services.
