In Ilorin, Kwara State capital, a tragic incident occurred as the Managing Director of Water View Hotel, Adeniyi Ojo, was discovered lifeless in one of the hotel’s rooms, as reported by the police.
According to a statement from SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the spokesman for the Kwara State Police Command in Ilorin, a suspected culpable homicide case was reported at ‘A’ Division Ilorin on September 28, 2023, at around 10:00 hours. The report was made by Kehinde Olaseinde, the supervisor of Water View Hotel, GRA Ilorin.
Upon receiving the report, a team of detectives was dispatched to the scene, with the Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, later joining them. The deceased, identified as Adeniyi Ojo, the managing director of the hotel, was discovered lifeless on one of the beds in a hotel room.
Notably, there were no visible signs of physical violence on the body. Subsequently, the body was transported to a hospital where his death was confirmed, and it was then deposited at the General Hospital mortuary in Surulere for an autopsy.
The Commissioner of Police has ordered a discreet investigation into the case, with details of the investigation set to be made public by the Command in due course.
