Following the scarcity of the new Naira notes, there has been unrest in the country as protests have been staged and bank properties were reportedly damaged. In this light, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church (LFC), Bishop David Oyedepo while ministering during ‘LFC Covenant Day of Exemption’, finally commented on the aforementioned issue, disclosing a message he claimed to have received from the Lord.
According to Bishop David Oyedepo from the live-streamed video (1:00:00): “Today, people are looking for cash, banks are been burnt. This is not normal. I warned Nigerians about this in 2015 but many ignored. What we are seeing today is the wrath of God for the land has been polluted and the church has sinned against God. Prophets now prophesy in favour of those that give them money.
“If we don’t repent from our sins, the wrath of the Lord will still be upon us. It is not enough to make decrees, we need to confess the sins of the nation and the sins of the church”. He concluded by urging Christians to fast and pray for Nigeria from 13th to 15th of February, 2023.
