Victor Osimhen, the talented forward from the Super Eagles and Napoli, has been honored as the Italian Footballers’ Association Footballer of the Year for his exceptional performance in the 2022-23 season.
Osimhen played a pivotal role in Napoli’s triumph, contributing 26 goals as they secured the Serie A title after 33 years.
His outstanding display also earned him a spot in the Serie A team of the year, where he was recognized alongside other top players.
Osimhen’s achievements have further been acknowledged through his eighth-place ranking in the 2023 Ballon d’Or, a nomination for the FIFA Best Awards, and consideration for the Globe Soccer Award.
Additionally, he is among the 10 final nominees for the upcoming 2023 CAF Awards, scheduled to take place in Marrakesh, Morocco, on December 11th.
