Osun; NCS Car Collides With Commercial bus

There was crash between a Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) car and a commercial minibus known as Korope in Osun on Thursday morning.

The collision happened in Osogbo, the capital City of Osun State, close to the Olaiya Flyover.According to reports, the NCS vehicle, which was taking inmates from the prison in Ilesa to court, collided with the minibus, wounding its driver and another other passenger.

An eyewitness who was at the scene of the incidence stated that the driver of the correctional vehicle disobeyed the traffic lights and struck the moving bus, hurting him and another person.

“The minibus driver suffered major injuries to his face and ankle, while the woman who was riding in it on her way to work had serious injuries to her waist and eye.”.

Following the collision, the driver of the minibus and the injured passengers were brought to the hospital for medical attention, while the prison van was permitted to continue to court.

Rumo8 that the driver had passed away prompted some minibus drivers and commercial motorcycle riders to congregate at the spot shortly after the vehicle had left.

Akinloye Oyegade, Divisional Police Officer of Dugbe Division, and his men from the Osun State Security Service (SSS) were on hand and able to head off any trouble.
