Chief Bode George, a senior member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, recently spoke with the Nigerian Tribune on the roots of Lagos state.
He said that the present head of Lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is attempting to sow discord among Lagosians, is not from the state. The genuine Tinubu, according to George, is from Kogi state and grew up with him in Lagos. Tinubu was an educationist who established the first Muslim secondary school on Lagos Island on Olusi Street.
